American musician and actor Awkwafina debuted with sly hip-hop tracks that addressed sexuality and racial identities with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before broadening her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Korean immigrants. She also received the classical and jazz education later delving into hip-hop as a teenager. In the end, she focused on her education. she was awarded a degree in journalism in the college as well as a women's studies specialization.
