Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is Nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. She is born in Polish descent (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered a passion in the performing arts from an early age on stage. When she was in 1992, she attended her first audition. The audition was for a part of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent prior to her turning 13, and she was cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. She is now also taking classes in acting for herself. Bell was a character who did not have a credit in Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy character. Bell attended The Tisch School of the Arts which she attended to study Musical Theater in New York City. Bell graduated from the school in 2001, when she was cast in the role Becky for Tom Sawyer. That is the year she had her first credit debut with Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and her character was not shown in the credit sequence. Bell appeared in Broadway in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
