
Leona Louise Lewis, born on April 3, 1985. It is an actress an activist, singer and actress of British origin. Born and raised within the London Borough Of Islington she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis gained international attention after winning The X Factor's third series in the year 2006. In addition, she received a PS1 million recording contract with Syco Music. The winning single, which was the cover version to Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment like This" was a top-charting #1 for four weeks on UK Singles Chart and broke an all-time record of the milestone of 50,000 downloads in just 30 minutes. Clive Davis's label, J Records, signed Lewis to a deal for five albums within the United States. Lewis maintained her popularity with Spirit the first studio album. It sold 10x platinum recognized in the UK. Spirit became the fourth-most popular album of the 2000s, and also one of the best-selling UK albums. The Official Charts Company claims that Spirit was the best-selling 21st century album of debut by a female artist. Its lead single "Bleeding Love" was on top of the UK chart for seven weeks before becoming the top-selling single of the year 2007. In the US this was the top-selling single in 2008 . Lewis was named the best new Artist by Billboard that same year. In 2009, she dropped her second studio album Echo as well as recorded the song that served as the soundtrack, "I See You", for the film Avatar. Lewis also released "Collide," a joint project in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii. In the year 2011, she also dropped Hurt which was the extended version from her first EP. Glassheart (2012) was Lewis's third studio album. The album was Lewis the first time she tried electronic music , dubstep, and electronic music. When she was on the Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began the process of recording to her Christmas debut album. Christmas with Love was released later that year, and the album's lead track, "One More Sleep" came in at the third position on the charts in the UK. Lewis who is a British female solo artist, made history by becoming the first female artist to reach the top five with eight songs. It was more than Olivia Newton John's record which was seven.
