MadhuriMadhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress, best known for her performances in the movies 'Beta, Saajan', and 'Hum Aapke Hai Koun'. ..!' The actress began her career in the 80s and was a hit with her appearance in the movie 'Tezaab' where she starred with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the movie 'Dil she appeared with Aamir Khan. Her family was raised in Mumbai by an upper-middle class family. As a child she started to study dance. She attempted acting when she was an teen however, it wasn't an easy task. Many of her early films ended in failure. Then she found success and went on to become one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film industry. She stopped her profession following her wedding prior to returning to the entertainment industry. In the past, she had featured in the film "Gulaab Gang" that focused on the challenges and triumphs of women from India. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. Eight of the awards she received were for her. The actress was also awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her social work is also something to be proud of.
